Our History
Cutting on the Edge
of Rock Since 1963
In 1985, New Mexico Travertine, A sister company was started for the quarrying and processing of travertines quarried in Central New Mexico. Our quarry operations now include, along with the travertine quarries west of Belen ,NM, a sandstone/flagstone quarry near Milagro, NM, an hard stone aggregate pit near Mountainair, and several limestone quarries in Texas and Kansas.
The main facility, located in Belen, NM has the most advanced stone cutting and processing equipment in the Southwest. A stone tile processing line was installed in 1995, giving the plant the capability of processing any required stone product. Along with the native travertines, New Mexico Travertine also processes 15 different domestic limestones and marbles, as well as providing contract cutting to various quarriers.
