Rocky Mountain Stone Provides Locally Sourced Sandstone
Rocky Mountain Stone recently provided sandstone wall caps for The Burrell College of Osteopathic Medicine (BCOM) at New Mexico State University. BCOM is one of the newest medical colleges in the United States and the only one with a mission focused on healthcare in the Southwestern United States and Northern Mexico. Although BCOM is a private and free-standing college that is not a part of New Mexico State University (NMSU), it is very closely affiliated with NMSU, being located near free citation generator the main campus, allowing students to enjoy the college life that goes with a large university.
The stone used on this project is “Silverado” Sandstone, which is quarried in the Anton Chico region of New Mexico, just north of Santa Rosa. Silverado is an extremely hard quartzitic sandstone that comes in a variety of thickness and sizes for any application.
